This stuff works just as promised. You really do have to clean the surface thoroughly with zylene before coating, and if you don't spend enough time on that step, you'll be sorry. But if you follow the steps carefully, you'll end up with a great seal. I used this to seal my collection of metal goblets, made of pewter, silver, and stainless steel. Finally, no more polishing!
