- AnonymousI create solid copper sculptures for the yard and garden and until I discovered Everbrite last year I was constantly burdened with the problem of the copper tarnishing or oxidizing. This was great for the people that requested that look, but most of my clients liked the shiny new look of the fresh copper. I had tried polishes, waxes, lacquer, and clear enamel but they all failed within months. When I stumbled across the Everbrite website it sounded too good to be true but I figured it was worth a try. Well, a year later I am still amazed with it’s ease in application, durability, and longevity.

DIRECTIONS
1. If you want to protect your copper or brass while it is still new and shiny, simply clean any oil or other contaminants from the the copper and brass. This can be done by wiping the metal with xylene and denatured alcohol which can be purchased at most hardware or paint stores. This will insure a completely clean surface. Wiping with the solvents will not remove tarnish. If you want to let the metal tarnish slightly and would like to preserve the tarnish and not have it get any worse, then you can stop the advancement of the tarnish with an Everbrite Coating.
2. Once the metal is clean, EVERBRITE Coatings can be applied by several methods. It can be sprayed on or wiped on the surface with clear-coat applicators, fine brushes, polysponge brushes or a pad of lint-free cloth. Let it dry and enjoy your beautiful copper and brass Garden Art, weathervane, cupola, finial, copper gutters, windchimes and more.
For exterior applicatons which do not get a lot of handling, Everbrite is recommended. For interior metal or metal that gets a lot of handling like railings, door knobs, door knockers, etc, ProtectaClear is recommended.
