Summary
The McLaren Technology Centre is the headquarters of the world famous McLaren Group, located on a 5.3 million square foot site in Woking, England. It is a large, roughly semi-circular, glass-walled building, designed by the architect Norman Foster and his company, Foster and Partners.
After its inauguration in 2004, the building was short-listed for the 2005 Stirling Prize awarded by the Royal Institute of British Architects. Shortly after construction, the clear, anodized aluminum had become faded, chalky and oxidized. The chalky aluminum was cleaned to remove the oxidation, and the finish was restored with Everbrite Protective Coating. Bromoco Systems LLC completed the restoration project in 2013.
