Shelter Point Distillery

Summary

Shelter Point Distillery’s pot stills were custom built in Northern Scotland. They had a long, tiresome journey through the Panama Canal on their way here. Along the way they were off-loaded in the US (cavity inspections, perhaps for terrorist or drug trafficking plots). They sat depressed, neglected and violated. After four weeks they were released from custody looking worse for wear. It has taken Jeff and James over 200 hours of backbreaking hand scrubbing to bring them back to life.

Now they are cared for, safe from harm and soon to be warm, full and happy!   In 2010, Shelter Point Distillery cleaned it’s copper tanks with HD Copper Cleaning Gel and polishes from Everbrite, Inc. and coated the copper tanks with Everbrite Protective Coating  to protect the copper stills.
