ProtectaClear® is a tough, thin, clear protective coating which provides protection for metal from salt damage, tarnish, corrosion, and oxidation. ProtectaClear® is scratch resistant for metal that gets significant handling like railings, jewelry or other metal that is used daily. It reduces fingerprints and smudges on stainless steel and protects copper and brass sinks, as well as copper counters from tarnish & water spots.
Any commercial coating can be scratched, but due to ProtectaClear’s self-annealing properties, it can be repaired without stripping the entire coating. ProtectaClear® will blend to itself and the repaired area will not stand out.
Finish Options
ProtectaClear® is available in a natural finish, which allows the natural beauty of unpolished metals show through, as well as Satin and Matte finishes. This finish is great for protecting metals that you want to preserve their natural beauty. This can range from brilliant copper and stainless, to artistic rustic metal to prevent further oxidation.
Some metals look better without a gloss finish but still need protection. ProtectaClear Satin can soften the shine on highly reflective metal to avoid problems with traffic glare or if a satin finish is desired. An alternative is to polish the metal to a satin finish and apply the Clear finish of ProtectaClear.
